My Spiritual Evolution  For The Journey Now

Sharon Oxendine, aka Black Crow, is a proud of First Nations woman and is enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe in Southeast NC.  Sharon has studied with Native and Indigenous Teachers for over thirty years.  She established a created a Nonprofit Community Organization-Medicine Wheel Way in 2019.  The land is eight acres located in Fairview, NC.  The mission is dedicated to supporting BIPOC and Underserved communities in Nature Restorative practices.  

Sharon is a Sacred Pipe Carrier and provides grief ceremonies and rituals including land blessings, Rites of Passage and soul retrievals.  She has studied with many Indigenous teachers including the late Malidoma Some.  She traveled to his village and studied with his Shaman teachers in 2009.  Sharon has been initiated into the Medicine Lodge of J. Grate and she was named as an Elder by her community in 2009.  

An Offering Of Elemental Divination

Grandmother Redhawk is the resident Elder of Wisdom at Medicine Wheel Way and a dedicated ceremonial leader and healer. With profound teachings from the late Malidoma Somé of Burkina Faso, West Africa, Grandmother serves as an Elemental Diviner, drawing upon the wisdom of stones, shells, bones, and coins to offer transformative divinations rooted in the sacred balance of the five elements. These practices, honored across Indigenous cultures since time immemorial, guide individuals toward clarity, healing, and alignment with their spiritual essence.  

A Plant Spirit Healer under the mentorship of Eliot Cowan, Grandmother also pours Sweat Lodge ceremonies in the Bear Tribe Tradition and carries a Sacred Pipe, weaving together ancient traditions to create sacred spaces for all people. With a deep commitment to serving diverse communities, [Your Name] channels ancestral wisdom and universal truths to support healing, connection, and transformation.  

Invocation and Blessing From the Ancestors

Catina Briscoe grew up immersed in the Christian church in Chicago, Illinois, an influential experience that inspired her to seek a deeper understanding of her roots and lineage through African spirituality. Her journey led her to study under Chief Montana, an enskinned Chief in the Dagomba Tradition of northern Tamale, Ghana, who himself was a student of Indigenous Dagara Cosmology under the guidance of Dr. Malidoma Somé of Burkina Faso.  

This path has brought Catina to the sacred lands of Medicine Wheel Way, where prayer, ritual, and ceremony continue to shape her spiritual evolution. She is a multifaceted artisan—a ceramicist, maker, crafter of spiritual tools, builder, intuitive gardener, and community herbalist. As both a student and teacher, she embodies the roles of daughter, friend, and visionary.  

Catina extends profound gratitude to under the stewardship of Black Crow (Sharon Oxendine). Through Black Crow’s vision, leadership, and mentorship, Catina has found opportunities to express the words and wisdom shared by her Ancestors through prayer and invocation, deepening her connection to the sacred.

Radical Stillness

Jessica Ayala is a loving mother of two, wife, entrepreneur, podcast co-host of Rooted in Purpose with Jess + Tamara, and author of The Five Laws of Stillness: A Rebel's Guide to Spiritual Unfoldment.  Her spiritual journey began at age 11 through a New Thought community, where she discovered Unity Church's teachings, which emphasize the inherent divinity within every individual.  Her path deepened through Native American practices, including her first sweat lodge at 13, and the Mesoamerican energy cleansings passed shown to her by her maternal grandmother.  She honors her paternal grandmother’s Catholic traditions, gaining from them with a reverence for angels, saints, and the earth goddess Tonantzin.  Jess’ passions lie in working with youth at Unity of The Blue Ridge and serving as program director of Medicine Wheel Way, a nonprofit fostering Indigenous ceremonies, cultural preservation, and opportunities for underserved BIPOC youth. She is also proud to study with elders Black Crow and Grandmother Redhawk as an intern water pourer and pipe carrier, as she remains committed to deepening her spiritual connection to ancestral wisdom and expanded consciousness.

Sheila Pride is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, ceremonialist, bodyworker, leadership and team coach, national educator, and couples coach with over 20 years of experience dedicated to reducing violence, empowering individuals, and fostering harmony across personal and professional realms.

Specializing in culture shaping, communication training, resilience building, and burnout prevention, Sheila blends clinical expertise with holistic approaches. She is certified in Safe Conversations, HeartMath Institute techniques, yoga, qigong, Upledger Institute methodologies, and various somatic therapies.

Her unique approach integrates shamanism, yoga sciences, clinical training, and Eastern philosophy, offering clients a transformative journey that bridges traditional and modern practices. Sheila’s work aims to inspire connection, personal growth, and sustainable well-being in families, workplaces, and communities.

Getting The Most Out of Prayer

Rev. Meagen Gosiewski is a minister,  licensed psychotherapist, writer, teacher and medicine woman with over 15 years of experience working with children and adults.  Her specialties include trauma, anxiety, depression and children/adults with autism.  Having a son on the spectrum, Rev. Meagen has first hand experience of the magical brain and life of those with Autism. She currently serves as the Associate Minister of Pastoral Care at Unity of The Blue Ridge and is in private practice.

Spiritual Midwifery and Sacred Activism 

Gogo Sangoma is an Indigenous multicultural educator, spiritual midwife, and Traditional Yoruba priestess. This November, she and her husband celebrated 35 years of marriage, cherishing a family that includes three daughters, 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  

In the early 1990s, Sangoma founded Beloved Kindred, where she serves as an Elder, facilitator, and instructor, contributing to numerous Wilderness and Earthskills Gatherings from Maine to Miami. As 2024 draws to a close, the *Mystic School of Alchemy* celebrates its 9th Season of the Raven. This mystery school is home to The Crowns of Isis Rites and Passages, Ancient Arts Revival Events, Spiritspeaks Publications, and The Faces of Truthtellers Oracle. 

Sangoma is honored to co-create with souls ready to reconnect to the depths of their origins and live in harmony with Spirit. She reminds us that every bead is a seed, carrying the wisdom to activate, adorn, and celebrate our sovereignty through Indigenous technologies. As a channel of Egungun, she listens, follows, and speaks the guidance she receives, holding the gifts of wealth, ceremony, and sacred agreements.
